The twelfth instalment of the serialised interview 'Adventures in Qualia' has been published on the Shueisha web media platform, Yomitai. In this episode,  Daichi Suzuki of the University of Tsukuba (Publicly Offered Group) explores when and how consciousness emerged throughout the history of evolution, under the title "Consciousness Was 'Emerged' Through Evolution." As of May 8, 2026, the article is ranked 2nd in Yomitai's weekly rankings! The statement "Consciousness is the result of emergence, and emergence can be explained" came as quite a revelation.
